Creating a Firewall Policy

• Policy & Objects > Firewall Policy 

Requirements for creating a policy

• Incoming and outgoing interfaces 

• Source: IP address, user, internet services 

• Destination: IP address or internet service 

• Service: This is the matching service 

• Schedules 

• Action: Accept or deny 

Selecting multiple interfaces

• Enable the Multiple Interface Policy Feature: System > Feature Visibility  

Geographic based Internet Service database

• Allows user to define internet service database objects based on country, region and city. 

• These objects can be used within firewall policies 

• Policy & Objects > Internet Service Database 

To create a new service group: 

• Policy & Objects > Services 

To View Object Usage: 

• Policy & Objects > Addresses  

• Look for Reference column, the number within the Ref column indicates the total times the objects are in use.
